Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has sparked fresh debate after arguing that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has become the biggest political challenge facing President William Ruto.

In remarks shared on social media, Ngunyi dismissed claims that the pressure surrounding the President's administration is being driven by outside political actors or by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Instead, he pointed to Gachagua as the figure exerting the greatest influence on the political difficulties currently confronting the Head of State.
