My name is Simon, and for as long as I can remember, I worked tirelessly to build a better life. Growing up in Kisumu, opportunities were scarce, but I refused to let that define me. 

Every achievement, every milestone I reached, I celebrated quietly, knowing that not everyone around me would be genuinely happy for my success. 

Little did I know that some people were not only pretending to support me—they were quietly plotting to tear everything down.

At first, I noticed subtle signs. Colleagues, friends, and even distant relatives congratulated me politely, but their eyes betrayed something else: envy. 

When I shared a personal achievement—a promotion, a successful business deal, or even a small win—they would smile outwardly but gossip behind my back. I brushed it off, thinking it was just harmless jealousy, but I had no idea how deep their resentment ran.

Over time, their jealousy escalated into calculated sabotage. Projects I had worked hard on were mysteriously delayed or misrepresented. Opportunities I had earned were handed to others without explanation. 

Even my personal life was affected—rumors spread, and relationships I had nurtured were poisoned by lies. I felt trapped, betrayed, and utterly alone.
