Former commissioner of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, Roselyn Akombe, has sharply criticised plans to clear part of Nairobi National Park for a government-backed development project, warning that the country risks losing vital forest cover.

In a reaction shared on social media, Akombe expressed alarm over reports that sections of the park’s forest are being cleared to create space for the expansion of Bomas of Kenya and the relocation of a wildlife animal orphanage.CONTINUE READING..........................
