Screams, Fear As Boyfriend Shoots Dead Pregnant Girlfriend In Broad Daylight and Runs In Bush

A community has been left devastated after a pregnant woman was allegedly gunned down in broad daylight by her boyfriend in a shocking act of violence that has reignited concerns over domestic abuse and the safety of women in abusive relationships.

The tragic incident occurred in the busy Mbombela Central Business District (CBD), where witnesses watched in horror as the woman was attacked moments after stepping out of a taxi.

According to reports, the victim had previously reported her boyfriend to authorities and had opened an assault case against him following alleged incidents of domestic violence. 

Family members say she had been struggling to free herself from a relationship that had become increasingly dangerous.

Her mother had reportedly urged her to leave the relationship and return home, fearing for her daughter's safety. 

However, relatives claim tensions escalated after the woman attempted to distance herself from her partner, who had already paid dowry as part of their union.

Witnesses say the woman had just alighted from a taxi when a bakkie suddenly pulled up nearby. The driver, believed to be her boyfriend, allegedly emerged armed with a firearm and confronted her.
