President William Ruto sparked political debate after launching a sharp attack against Gideon Moi, accusing him of using the Standard Group PLC to pressure and discredit his administration.(see what Ruto posted here)
In a fiery post shared on X, Ruto appeared to warn that his government would not tolerate what he described as attempts to blackmail or undermine his leadership through media platforms.
However, Gideon Moi did not publicly respond to the president’s remarks and instead continued with his scheduled engagements.
The former KANU chairman spent part of the day offering condolences and support to the family of former Cabinet minister and MP Henry Kosgey following their loss.
Later, Gideon held talks with Susan Burns, where discussions focused on issues affecting Kenya and the wider region.
According to Gideon, the meeting touched on the country’s political environment, economic development, democratic governance, and regional stability.
